Hey guys

Hanging about on a Sunday wondering if I should do something and change my oil. Done less than 1k miles since my last oil and filter change.

Thing is I don’t have a new oil filter - wondering your guys thoughts on changing oil without oil filter for such low mileage? No shops open on Sunday to grab one either.

I don't bother as long as the oil is still clear and not dirty, change filter as an annual thing. brake fluid every 4 years and auto fluid every ten. Based on a daily drive of course, not a garage queen

All comments by me should be taken in the right sprite, Jack Daniels is fine.

Okay interesting, guess that makes sense. Will check oil quality first!

I normally change oil and filter every year come what mileage I have done and you can always change the filter in a week or so if you don`t have one to hand. They are cheap enough and do a very important job too.

Mart.
Only the E46 cab left now.
Just got too old.

Yea I wasn’t sure if there would be an issue changing the filter after. Didn’t do it in end think I’m just going to grab one this week from Euros or GSF

Sage advice here.
As the E30 is relegated to Friday & weekend drives, the oil change is an annual event.
A Mann filter is <A$10 so cheap insurance.

On a side note I did have a bottle of engine oil flush and threw that in as part of the oil change.
Helped a bit as the drained oil was certainly darker afterwards.
