Good evening I've recently replaced my SI board batteries and now my Check light panel within the gauge isn't working , I accept it could be a bulb but before I remove the cluster again what controls that particular function . Thanks

Exactly which 'check' panel do you mean? Flashing one in the middle?

When you removed the SI board for repair, you had to remove a single screw and white plastic piece which were holding it in place. This white plastic piece also holds a small piece of black plastic with "check" showing through it. On 4 pot models, this bit of black plastic is substituted for a completely opaque piece.
The usual problem is members complaining that they now see a bare flashing lamp instead of the word "check". Others have fitted a 4 pot cluster to a 6 pot car, and now complain that the check light doesn't work, although it is happily flashing away, but just can't be seen.
Is any of this possibly relevant?

I know the item you're referring to , its notched to fit one way , The gauges are for a 6 pot the one removed from the car to repair .It could just be a bulb failure but I was wondering if i could have damaged anything associated with the warning light when replacing the SI battery .

Copper tracks to the check lamp on the cluster main circuit board go through a couple of wire links near the lamp , and one track is very thin, and travels a fairly long route under the tacho. to pin 4 of the blue plug. There's no reason to think it's likely anything was damaged when you replaced the SI batteries.
Certainly try the lamp first, including checking that the wires of the capless lamb are making contact in the twist in holder. Swap the whole thing with another one is the easiest way to check.
