Slightly hairy experience in the E30 today. Sat stationary on a steep hill behind some other cars - foot down on the brake. The pedal then seemed to lose pressure and the car started creeping forward. Brakes bit in quickly enough again, so not much drama. Same thing happened on a far less steep section of road a bit later. Brakes are effective enough before and since.

Anyone experience similar before?

Sounds like master cylinder to me.
