Bonnet Release Cable

Is it possible to adjust the bonnet release cable? On my car it seems to have stretched slightly and the catch now only operates right the end of its arc, causing a fear that with just a little more stretch it will stop working at all.

No adjustment for the inner cable, but the outer can be adjusted with a little ingenuity, such as bending the bracket it fits in to behind the handle, or inserting a little packing piece. This may be what has happened, and bending it back may fix the problem.

You could probably make up a fully adjustable arrangement for the outer by fixing a brake adjuster from a bike to the bracket.
