Hi guys,
I notice when I was driving down a highway, I heard some sewing-machine like noises coming from somewhere in the driveshaft/diff area of my car. The noise sounds like a rotating part touching something and only noticeable when doing 40mph and above and gets worst when the road is bumpy. And dissappear as I slow down. Anyone has any idea what is going on with my Drivetrain?
here's a video showing how it sounds

Sound like something is out balance...
- what vehicle?
Rule out the easy things first and work your way through the more obscure possible causes.
e.g.
- tyres
- alignment
- worn suspension & steering components
- mounts & drivetrain
- underbody components

tyres are new and recently balanced and aligned. My suspension components are also new. What I'm not sure about is the condition of drivetrain mounts. But from my undrestanding (CMIIW) if there's a failure in any of the drivetrain mounts would cause vibration underload. Mine does not vibrate. just the constant noise. It gets louder when I hit an even road
