Diff seals, 1989 320i

Morning all. I’ve had a slight leak on the diff for a while and my Bmw guru prescribed new diff seals. I ordered these from Cotswold Bmw, part number 33121210589. When my friend attempted to fit them he found that the internal diameter of the seals I supplied was too small. Has the dealer supplied the wrong part or could this be something more sinister like a non standard diff could be on the car? Any advice or alternative part numbers will be welcome and highly appreciated.
