Just collected 4x alloys, want to get them respirated as horrible, but want to check 1st they’re correct. They’ll be spare set for my restored 325i Sport. They have common codes 7Jx15H2, 1179066, e24.....otherwise, 3rd & 4th quite different. Any clues or pointers appreciated
1. JIL, FPS 2, 1179066, 10 90, KBA 41296, BMW e24, 7Jx15H2
2. JIL, FPS 2, 1179066, 13 90, KBA 41296, BMW e24, 7Jx15H2
Now the next two....
3. JIL, SCIBBLED SIGNATURE ?, 1179066, 30 90, KBA 41363, BMW e24, 7JxH2
4. JIL, BBS 89, 1179066, KBA 41016, Made in W. Germany, 348ET24, 7Jx15H2.
Any help with code explanations appreciated !

I have seen the different markings before also. There certainly isnt any difference visually, or in the offset and width etc. My guess is that manufacturing may have been moved during the 9 or so years of E30 production.
It could be worth weighing them as that is the only thing I can imagine would be slightly different?
Your main concern would be that they are all straight and true. If you can, put the two identical ones on your front axle, or the straighter two of the set.

AFAIK, there were three different manufacturers of alloy wheels used simultaneously by BMW at the time. and random as to what went on any particular car at the factory or dealership.

Thanks both. Weighing, good idea as two are the same, and all look identical to the eye. German websites have some explanantion about 4 manufacturers, so guessing I have 3 or the 4
BBS, MAHLE, ALUMETALL & PELLEGRINI....were listed on several DE sites
