I will be disconnecting the battery soon to do some work on the car but I'm a bit concerned, I dont know what will happen when I re-connect the battery it has a 13 button OBC but I'm not sure about an imobiliser. Will it stop the car from starting ? Can I find out the code if thier is one ? I have the hand book and service book should the number be written in either of these ? I'm hoping it will be fine but dont want to take the chance as i need the car for work, any help greatly appreciated !

I've had the battery off mine and it's not activated the immobiliser on my 13 button OBC
Was having a read of the hand book the other day.
Seemed to suggest to me that to activate the immob, you press CODE and then type in some number of your choosing, you then type in the same number to de-activate it.
Not sure if I got hold of the wrong end of the stick though.

The OBC immobiliser is a one time only affair.
You press code and enter a number, the next time you start the car you have to enter that number again. Once started you'd have to press code and enter a number again for it to arm.
It doesn't arm every time without going through the code/number sequence each time.
More of a gimmick than a proper immobiliser.
Cheers,
Iain T

OBC won't immobilise the car by dissconnecting the engine, but I've come across the odd car where an alarm I didn't know about, or have a key or fob for, has switched itself on when reconnecting the battery.
Also, the alarm usually activates the central locking as well, so always make sure you have a door or window open, or have the keys outside.
