i was just told that if you remove the obc, the car wont start as the obc has an immobiliser in it???

apparently, one of the connecters behind the glovebox is for the immobiliser and after you've taken the obc out the car wont start

just wondering if this is true

I dont think it would be anything major to solve, you could probably just short out a couple of wires to get it to work.

You'd need to replace the indicator stalk and whatever is attached to it as well :?

Let me know how you do it and then i'll remove the one i've got
There is NO nucleus.

it has got a code immobiliser option on the obc. I don't know if what your asking is true or not. i suppose it depends if the bm alarm is still installed or if it is an after market alarm

Above the glovebox you will find a wiring loom with a white two pin socket with two green wires going to it. If an alarm or OBC has been fitted properly, then this socket will have a plug fitted to it with wires going off to the alarm and/or OBC. If neither is fitted then the socket will be shorted by a plug fitted with a short loop[ of green wire.
Sometimes you will find this plug unused and loosely attached to the loom nearby.
