Hi guys, i’m in the process of purchasing a new rack for my 318i cab... my stock one has a worn coupling joint and generally I think the stock rack is a bit cumbersome.
I’m leaning towards an E46 purple tag as it seems reasonably priced and is recommended on the wiki section.
Does anyone have any experience of the installation procedure and thoughts on how it feels compared to stock? Or, any other recommendations?

Fitted a purple tag to mine last year, big improvement and feels "right" rather than too many turns. Much more like my modern car if that makes sense. Got my hoses from DanThe, great quality, made a hybrid E36/E30 coupling myself.

Nice, that’s what i’m expecting from it tbh. How long did it take you to fit it all in? Any niggles during the procedure?

It isn't my daily so I took plenty of time over it and did a few other things at the same time. One of which was the sump gasket which was the bigger pita by far.
