Hey zone,

On the hunt to fix my rough idle problem I noticed this in the Bentley manual - It says the manual idle speed is higher at 850rpm rather than the 750rpm for auto, is there something I need to swap out now I've converted to manual to achieve this 850rpm?

Cheers

This is for my 325i 88, just competed a manual conversion. Idle wasn't great prior to the swap anyway, so I doubt this is the issue, but I just noticed yesterday in the Bentley manual it saying that idle speed is different for auto and manual. Now that I've converted to manual, is there something I need to replace electronically to increase it to this 850 rpm idle speed?

Thanks

On another note I just tested my ignition coil between king terminal and the 15+ and resistance is reading 5800 ohms. Is this a bad sign?

Terminals -1 and +15 reading 0.6ohms

Sounds fine to me. The most likely thing to go wrong with it is a few shorted turns on the secondary which won't make much difference to the resistance anyway.
