Hello everyone!

I’m looking to repaint my bumper trims as you can see they aren’t in a good way.

What is the best way to restore these?

Personally I'd just replace them. The front trim pieces are reasonably priced, compared to the rears at least.

If you're determined to paint them, then take them off the car. Scuff them up and then spray them prime them with high build primer. You'll probably need a few coats to get rid of some of those scratches. Once you have them out, use a decent black trim paint and you're done.

They'll probably never look as good as a set of new ones though, and you'll save a lot of hassle too just buying them.

Autodoc do them for £20 each side, the only downside is delivery is £8, but if you order a good amount of parts in one go it's worth it. Also worth waiting till they have 28% off. It would be interesting to see the quality of them compared to genuine.

Autodoc are always cheaper if you order from their app.
Professional way of restoring faded black trim is with a heat gun.
