Hi All,
can somebody tellme which relay is the fuel pump one please on an m42, i.e.what number under the bonnet is it k7, k1 etc? Thanks

It's not in the fusebox, it's on the bulkhead, between the fusebox and the centre of the car, under the wiring cover. It's a four pin relay, usually orange, and is the one with a green/purple wire going to one of the pins.
There's nothing special about it - it's just a single pole, normally open relay, identical to all the other orange ones in the relay, except for the addition of lugs on the case to make sure it doesn't vibrate loose.
