Hi I have a electric roof on my convertible and the usual issue with the main motor, where it shear away and bends the bug bar.
I have bought the reinforcement kit to fix this issue. Is there anyone on here that can put it all back together and do any needed adjustments etc to get it all working again. If so how much would you charge?

All help much appreciated.

Hi, Have you fitted the repair plate and the motor? What tends to happen with things break is the bars bend out (apart from the main motor's securing points getting broken). However, it is a simple case of bolting in the new bars and testing it.

What stage are you at?

Have you fitted the repair plate and the new bars? I have asked you this before.

It's been a while since I looked at the mechanisms, but I don't recall seeing any gas strut... I could be wrong and simply cannot recall seeing them.

Any pics? They would be a great help.

Thanks

There are gas struts to assist the raising of the roof.

They are hidden down near the hinges.

I suspect that they're all fucked by now.

Cheers Ben. Wow, I don't recall them at all. I'll take another look when I can!

Cayman autos in Redhill (Surrey) sorted mine out. I highly recommend them
