Hi all,
Help please the trim panels on the outside of my door and rear window in satin black on my 1985 2door I would like to remove them to re fresh the paint are they easy to remove?

Simple answer is no, they're not easy to remove, at least not without damaging them! This image gives you an idea how they are fixed and it's wise to order new clips in advance as I found the only way to remove the trim was to break the clips, but then I am heavy-handed and impatient ....

Dont think it will take too long to mask up , I painted some a few years ago in satin black and they looked really cool.
Hycote was the makers name.
I bought 12 tins (@£36) to paint the hard top on my e46 and to say it was a quick job, it`s pretty decent.

Mart.

If you can try and buy in bulk because they really are cheap and it`s suprising what you can find to use them for. I only used six tins on the hard top , gave two to one of the boy`s and used two myself and still have "emergency" tins to spare.lol
