Hello

Today I wanted to replace gearbox oil and I ran into a problem. I tried to loosen the fill bolt (17mm internal allen-hex fill plug - red on the picture) and enden up stripping it (i will have to weld something to it to remove and replace it). I want to know If I can fill the gearbox through 8mm allen-hex bolt - blue on the picture. Drain bolt is marked with yellow.

Don't know for certain, but I'd expect to find a spring behind that plug.

Thought you meant you'd stripped the thread.
Plug is steel surrounded by aluminium, so heating it is the correct way to loosen it. The hole in the aluminium will expand more than the steel filling it.
