Having done a bit of research I was expecting this to be reasonably straightforward, but that hasn't turned out to be the case. I'm having loads of trouble trying to the get old bearing off, I have hit it, heated it and then hit it, and heated the bearing, cooled the prop and then hit it some more all without success. I took it a garage and even they said they couldn't help as they didn't have a bearing puller long enough to fit over the splines. I'm going to try grinding/sawing it of later today as a last resort. From other posts I've read these seem to come off quite easily, is this the case or are they usually a right **** to get off?

And what's the best way to fit the new bearing? Can it just be tapped into place or am I likely to have a nightmare with this too?

Cheers,
