Arch liner Studs/threads

I took my arch liners out from the front and the little studs with the plastic nuts all snapped off
How have people fixed this?..

Im thinking maybe get some screws then cut the head off then tack on? Then cut to length when fixed in place? It may sound crazy but just trying to think on my feet
