Water leek in n/s footwell

I have a water leaking into the footwell mainly when I wash the car. It is coming in from the external air vent above the wiper motor, where does the water drain from in this compartment ? 1990 E30 2 door

if it's the N/S (passenger side) then check behind the glove box where the wiring harness comes through from the fuse box as the big rubber grommet could have given up or worse there's a patch of rust.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
