Hello,

As the weather is about to turn, I figured I would attempt to get the heat finally working in my 316.

I have spent the last day doing a coolant flush with RadFlush and just water to clear out the rust from the cooling system - the water was opaque brown upon the first flush and I have managed to get it mostly clear!

Having seen to that issue, I was expecting the heat to work as I assumed the heater core was clogged (this still may be the case as upon feeling the coolant hoses to and from the core, one was hot and the other cold).

However, I have found a series of plugs that I don't know anything about that aren't connected to anything, so perhaps this could play a part? (See pics).

Also, the temp sender at the front of the engine has no wires coming from it, although this may a separate issue entirely (the temp gauge has never worked under my ownership).
