Is there any difference in size from a 320i to a 323i 325i Intake manifolds? Im goin to put a larger throttle body on but is it worth gettin the whole manifold?

there is a difference between the two and you won't gain by putting a 325 manifold on a 320 head as the inlet ports on the head are bigger so just follow the guide in the technical section

i dont want to buy a 325i i want to drop a bigger motor in my car

but i cant afford it yet as im doin a man convertion first. but the heads broke off the screws in the plate on the coolant thing on the throttle body so instead of effin around fixin it i want to replace it with the larger one. but i will buy it with the manifold if its bigger because i will need that for the new motor anyway so i guess u answered my question thanks mate!!

The 325i manifold will fit a 320i BUT the inlet ports are a different shape, you'd need to modify the ports in the head to mate up with the 325i manifold otherwise there will be a flow impeding 'lip' between the two parts.

hmm thats a good point i think ill just put the throttle body on and keep the mani till i do the new motor. there will probly still be a lip but i dont think it would matter so much there.

but u have just made me realise that i wont be able to use my head unless maybe i get it ported.

Does anyone know if the 320 head will bolt onto the larger bore 325 bottom end?

It won't.

But a 525e bottom end will fit and make it a 2.7 :thumb:

Just make sure it's the 525e not the 525 engine and use the 325i or an uprated cam, injectors, manifold, throttle body and ECU.

Have a look in the engine swaps section for more info on the 2.7 conversion: http://www.e30zone.co.uk/modules.php?na ... forum&f=28
