So yesterday, somewhere towards the rear N/S, started to rattle over every single bump. I had a quick check and looks like the top mount has perished slightly.
I did read about some E30 owners adding a top mount plate like that on the Z3.
Wanted some opinions as to whether it's worth it?
It's 316i which won't see any heavy footed driving.

Appreciate the response. I didn't realise a E46 part would fit. I know parts between E30s, M3 and e36s' would.steve_k wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2019 8:18 amwhen it comes time to replace the rear top mounts whether is a 316i or an S54 engined touring most fit e46 m3 cabby top mounts along wuth the z3 reinforcement plates.

I’ve just replaced my top mounts ( and shocks) with E46 bits. My old ones looked okay, but when I had a proper inspection they were completely buggerated. The job is easy. I bought a pair of Z3 reinforcement plates but they will not fit onto my cabriolet so they are yours for £12 if you want them.
Ahh, I ordered a set a week ago. But thank you for the kind offerOzu wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:02 pmI’ve just replaced my top mounts ( and shocks) with E46 bits.
