So my passenger washer jet squirts out with power, however my driver's side is more like a small rodant spitting. It just dribbles out.
Checked all the hoses and all is well.
Anything I'm missing?
Anything else I need to check?

Almost certainly a bit of grit is stuck in the nozzle. Take it off and poke with a fine needle, suck and blow at it.

Jet is probably blocked, I normally just stick a pin down it to clean it out.

I have just had the same thing on mine. I took off the jets and blew them out at work with air but also cleaned out the washer bottle as it was full of crap !!
I now intend to replace the plastic water pipe for what it costs and to keep the system clean with "decent" washer fluid not the asda/tesco blue shit !!

Forgot to follow this up. I did the needle poking, but it's still the same. I think I need the jets off, as you did, and try that. :thumb:

I would take the bottle out , a five min job , clean it and replace the tube and you are good to go for another 20 years.

Good idea, and my next job. I will update. Out of interest, where did you get the washer tubes from, and are you using the original clips?

Tubing from e-bay and I think the clips are still in place so when it arrives I will let you all know.

I’ve had difficulty finding the proper diameter clear vinyl tubing with the white webbing reinforcement on ebay, or anywhere so far. Perhaps I am searching for it using the wrong terms? I currently have a patchwork of different tubings & connectors. Would love to tidy it up. If someone has a source or link to a tubing they’ve used and found suitable, could they please share it? Thanks, Sean

IMHO you’re barking up the wrong tree. You need to get a new one of these from your local dealer or Jon at Cotswold BMW. It’s the non-return valve and it looks like this

Thanks Ozu, not sure if you meant your message for me, but it’s handy to demonstrate what type tubing I’m looking for!

Quick update.
Cleaned the nozzles and washer tank.....spits followed by froth, then nothing! (Driver side, as passenger side perfect)

I assume, return valve failed, or a pipe split in the driver's side pipe?

Also asked a few times. Anyone have a link or recomend where to get the washer fluid pipes from?

Thanks

Have you tried the jets with the bonnet up to see if the valve is leaking?

If not - disconnect the pipe work to the washer jet and airline it through that should solve your problem but make sure pressured air comes out of both nozzles . On the suspect jet.

Hello
A good point. I've just tried it and the valve is leaking badly.

That’s your issue then as it regulates to both jets the same amount of water

If anyone is after some braided hose, found this on the bay, seems good and tough!
