Pre-start precautions?

I haven't started my car for about 7 months but am thinking of dragging it out for the spring/summer. Are there any steps I should take before firing it up or can I just go for it?

Check your fluids,
Overnight charge the battery
Remove fuel pump fuse ( 11 ?)
Crank engine till oil light goes out
Replace fuse and start her up.
Check tyre pressures, and brakes before hacking off down the road!
And allow to warm up before thrashing the beast too hard.
