Good evening . I've read that the M20 engine has very limited information (if any) regarding storing and reading fault codes , I have an OBD 2 code reader and I'm thinking of purchasing an adapter to allow it to be used as an OBD 1 reader , is it worth it if the information stored is of little value.
Thanks

I don,t think its that simple. iirc the adapter won't work on pre 96 cars. there is a peake code reader that resets the oil and inspection too, but thats meant for the usa market. it depends on what engine management system you got. check on here wiki. I believe its got to be motronic 1.1 or higher.
