Hi, was wondering if someone can help me out, im needing a new fuel tank. My question is, is there only 2 types of tank for e30, a 55ltr and a 63ltr?
the one in my car has 2 holes in the top and i think its the 63ltr but not sure if theres any other differences. i cant check through the reg as it was originally a 316. someone put a 325 in it years ago and i dont know what one to get, conversion cars are a pain when you dont do them yourself! any help much appreciated.

Only two types of tank. The most obvious difference between them is that the smaller tank has an 'S' shaped pipe joining together the two halves of the tank at their lowest point.
No major problems swapping from one to the other also, as long as the tank is complete with fuel pump and level senders. The one other problem that will need addressing in a swap is that the fuel gauge in the cluster needs to match the tank.

Perfect that answers my question. It doesn't have that connection pipe you said. And has 2 holes in the top too so must be the 63ltr. Thanks
