Hey guys.
My convertible (325 1992 electric roof) has got a broken metal piece that forms part of the roof structure.
The actual bit had a nut attaching another arm which went in to the motor.
The bits are alluminium and I've had a lot of diificulty trying to get someone to weld it. :-x

BMW quoted me Ԛ£1600 for a replacement (the complete thing) 8O

The bit of metal that broke actualluy ripped my roof!!!

Has any body come accross anything like this?
Any suggestions?

Thanks for listening boys i feel better already.

sorry to hear your troubles but am not quite sure what bit has broken..try jason in walsall (cabrio has his details) who usually has every bit known for cabs..if the motor has broken i believe he does a new casing for it

have a look on realoem and you will see the drawings and the part costs
