New Camshaft

Hi
91 325i
On pulling the engine to kill some leaks found the camshaft has a couple of badly pitted lobes and associated rockers,
BMW offered to relieve me of 579+vat for the privilege of purchasing said item from them but is something like a Febi Bilstein up to the task for around a sixth of that price? Or any other options? I am not looking to boost perf or such.
Car is stock unmodified and not used competitively in any way.

You'll be fine with a Febi and associated Febi rockers, also check the eccentrics whilst your in there as well as the rocker shafts.

The whole lot should be about 350, I just bought a new cam for 110 euros.

Make sure you get the right one though, see my other post.

It's strange, a lot of sites list the 11 31 1 716 138 as for a cat - and the apparently discontinued 11 31 1 706 655 as non cat - as far as I understand it there is a difference in angle, but not sure - also no one responded to my similar question on here - mind you its REALLY quiet on the board right now.
