So I had an idiot reverse into me head on in the Sainsburys parking lot... :x

My front bumper has clearly been pushed right up against the body of the car and my Tech1 spoiler has somthing pushing against it from behind that has caused the paint to crack...

My question is what is likely to have been damaged and will need replacing... I need to get an estimate for repair work...

My thought process is to give absolute worse case scenario across to the other parties insurance and hope for their sake when it comes to removing everything it is not as bad...

Thanks, in advance for suggestions and help

It`s all about your policy and if you have an agreed value for your car or they will just right it off for something and f**k all.
Try and sort out some cash for this or it could turn ugly.

Tough one, who are you insured with and do you have an agreed value on the car as if you don't its a £700 old BM and may be written off. Has the other driver admitted liability BTW?

All good with my insurance and I really dont expect major damage... it was a bump rather than a crash but my bumper has definateley been pushed inwards...

Just after details of what "lies beneath" as said without actually taking the bumper and tech 1 spoiler off what can I reasonably anticipate having to fix...?

The husband is crying foul on my part for "repeatedley shouting at my wife" and claiming his children have been phsycologically damaged as they were in the back of the car... and also claiming I had stopped too close behind them... says he has proof on the "reverse camera's" which he will provide to his insurance...

Far as I am concerned if I am driving behind someone and they stop, I stop, and then they reverse into me... well then it is their fault, regardless of how close I am

The reversing camera doesn't record but it seems that he admitted to that he was reversing as the camera only cuts in when the car is in reverse.

Keep it cool and just mention that you also have dashcam footage.

Was this Sainsbury on the Brompton Road as I was shopping there as well..........

Ask the supermarket if they have footage , they may be "happy to help"
