It seems impossible to find a new regulator for the 65A (14v) Bosch alternator for my 318is. Whenever I attempt to find the part (new) through the normal internet sites, nothing at all comes up.
I know this seems like one for the 'wanted' section, but given the trouble I'm having - I can't see it would help.
Can anyone do better than me?
Many thanks.

If you Google the numbers on the existing regulator, normally 1197311xxx, it should come up with the correct replacement or the version that has superseded it. Technology moves on, and the correct replacement may be different internally than the original, and so have a different Bosch part no.

https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/bmw/3-con ... -regulator
This is my new "go-to" place for buying the bits and peices I need...
£8.50 shipping from Germany and 5 working days minimum delivery time but still cheaper than most other places and have had up 22% discount at times...
Hope this helps

*EDIT - Seemed to have tracked one down here - https://dmt-automotive.com/ - but only time will tell if their website accurately describes their stock levels. Have ordered it, so fingers crossed they can deliver.
Thanks all.
The problem seems to be that no sites I've found (including bycarparts.co.uk) have been able to offer an alternative to the now seemingly discontinued part. By the way, the part is a Bosch 1197 311 021.
Feel free to have a pop, in the mean time I will go and speak/ring one the outfits such as euro car parts and see what the man can turn out.
Cheers.
