I posted recently that my 325i convertible 90 H plate was stolen and they have cut wires to ignition. Not sure it’s wise to post on here but can anyone send me a private message on what wires I need to connect to get it going. I can get power to ignition lights etc but need to get starter motor to turn over, have looked at wiring diagrams but I cannot figure out which ones to touch together.

After 30+ years in production, I don't think E30 wiring colours are any great secret anymore!
Plain red is 12 volts from the battery, plain green is the ignition feed, and black/yellow (plain black at the ignition switch) is the starter motor signal. Purple is the accessories feed (not required to start the engine) and the small wires attached to the ignition switch are also not relevant.
The plug and socket , where the ignition switch connects to the rest of the loom, should be found clipped to the steering column, about half way down, as part of a stack with a couple of other connectors.
