Rag top and adjustment

Hello,
I’m having problems with the soft top on my E30.
The top doesn’t align with the body in the rear.
I found some shims that potentially could be used to lower the rear section of the top.
I have done some googling but would like to have some opinions before removing shims.

Has the whole roof been ever been replaced or removed and it the front all level and true.

Also the top doesn't fully align with the body work like modern cars and that corner should have some brushes at the bottom, if sat in the back you should be able to see daylight in the day time.

Watch all the videos to get an idea, the music and the moustaches do make it sound like a German 1980's porn movie though,
