Just had the tourer in for it's MOT and failed on front N/S balljoint, blowing centre box, ARB link and rear brake binding. I've replaced all the above today except the rear brake, tomorrows job. Can anyone give any tips as to what to look for, I know when you put the handbrake on it pulls to one side so will replace the shoes and adjust correctly. The pads and discs still have plenty of life left in them, is there anything else to check??

Cheers guys

Of course it's got discs  I mean I'll replace the handbrake shoes and adjust.

i have found a common fault with handbrakes on my e30; the two tiny pins that hold the shoes to the backplate often jsut rip through; i replaced them with e36 318 compact ones

this has cured all my handbrake problems on my old e30 both sides were cured using this method.

as for seized brakes i would suggest calipers are at fault also; they are sliding ones remember!

I'll strip it all down then give it a good clean check for any damaged pins etc make sure things can move freely and stick the new shoes in. My girlfriend picked the car up so obvisouly didn't ask for a detailed explanation
