Manifold downpipe gasket help

Can you think of any reason why my manifold downpipe gasket doesn't fit? M20 325i ordered from bmw using chassis no.

As i found out a while ago,there are 2 alternative sizes, ordering by chassis number should land you the right one,if the manifold is still the original one.
