Hi Zoners,
Can anyone help me?
Over the last few days my 325i, on early morning start ups doesn't seem to kick-in the idle valve and just cuts off as soon as I take my foot of the gas. Could this be my idle valve on its way out ore something else?
Sometimes I have to sit there with the foot on the gas and rev it quite hard for it to activate, on other occasions I have lightly tapped the idle valve with a screwdriver then started the car and its fine...
Please help?
thanks, tripper

Have you removed and cleaned out the ICV, pretty common for them to get gummed up and sticky, also check the electrical connections, clean?
Also check at the ECU pins - ummm 4 and 22 for about 40 ohms
that's a start

What ECU are you using? 380 version has a known common fault with idle control.
