Hi My electric room has failed on my e30. does anyone have advice on how i can now close it manually and also convert it to manual?
need this doing ASAP as i am currently using a friends garage while the roof is down but he wants it back!

Hi
Can you open the horse shoe bit? My old convertible my motor for retracting the roof had broke, all I did was open the compartment where the hood is stored by pressing the button then manually fold the roof away then use the button to close the carpartment

Use the the tool from the tool kit to disengage the horseshoe motor (middle of the boot) this will release the horseshoe. Then drop the motor on the right hand side, which will release the roof itself so that you can extract it, or retract it into the storage compartment.
