Hi all, I'm going to look at a 325i shitter on Saturday but the guy said it hasn't been used in months... What can I expect in terms of oil setting in the sump. Anything to look for when looking at the car to see if the sump is filled with crap?
My plan was to give it a good hard ragging once close to home and use some engine flush and then run some fully synthetic and do a complete service
Anything else to watch for if the car hasn't been run in months. Tyres going hard and pipework becoming brittle? Anyway all info will be much appreciated the last thing I want is to spend lots of cash on a Ԛ£500 car.

Months is hardly going to set oil in the sump, unless it hasn't been changed in years upon years.
Tyres might be lumpy for the first mile, and may need some air. Also make sure to apply the brakes to rub the rust off the discs before you actually need to stop at some traffic lights and discover they don't work.
I'd let her idle for 10 minutes before setting off to warm her up a bit.

There should not be anything wrong with it as it is. Handbrake may bind/sieze if it has been on, and there may be a flat battery which might then need replacing, but eveything else should be fine. You should change the oil as a matter of course, but months is not really a long time. I had mine stored for a year and you'd never know the difference, and am looking at rejuvenating another car that has been parked up for 30 years
