idling issues

hi all... i dunno if it is a characheristic of the 318is or something but just checking non the less.....
when drivin,,, and u stop,,, it will idle above 1000 rpm,,, then 2/3 seconds later decrease steadily to about im guess 850ish?? then settle??

is this normal?

when moving idle,, ie in neutral it will never go below 1000

any ideas? is this normal? just wondering

from your description, it sounds like an air flow problem.

Could also be that the idle control valve needs a clean / check.
