Hi

About to start the restoration of my Baur and decided to bleed the brakes {ease of movement in and out of the garage). However, I can hear a whooshing air noise come from behind the glove box area, adjacent to the brake booster in the engine compartment, This happens when I press the brake pedal. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Is the Servo knackered ? The car has been off the road for quite a few years.

Thanks in advance

An air noise from the servo when the brakes are used is perfectly normal when the engine is running and for a few times after the engine is stopped.

Hi

Many thanks for the reply. I have a few classics and never experienced that level of noise from a servo. E30 is all new to me, so appreciate the advice. Will crack on with bleeding the system.

Thanks again
