can the brake servo be flipped 180 or 90 degrees without any hickups? want the vacuum take-off out of the way to give me more room for my plenum. what other (cheap!) options do i have to clear up some space in the m/c + servo area? i know golf servo potentially, what about remote m/c tank etc? any ideas appreciated, really want to clear up some room around there rather than sacrifice airflow/trumpet length/plenum design.
Cheers all

All options have been discussed in length on the engine swaps forum, usually in M50 conversion threads, so do a search.
There was a pic on here somewhere a couple of days ago of an E30 with the servo/MC mounted right behyind the LH headlamp. Presumably, with a very long pushrod.
On my own M50 I moved the servo sideways towards the outside of the car as far as it would go and used a longer pull rod across inside the car.

Tim if you look on six and M3 cars the vacume line is on the other side of the servo. HTH

too right it helps andrew! is the same part no as the 318is one so i'm guessing i can just flip it 180 degrees
that should give me enough clearance. are the bolts for the servo inside the car?
i'll have a search too, i didn't realise this had been covered so much, had only read stuff on the golf servos in the past....
cheers guys

Just undo the master from the servo, then go inside the car and undo four nuts and rotate the servo 180deg.

cheers andrew. thats what i suspected when i was looking at it all the other day, hadn;t really looked at it properly though. will need this done to fit the s14 plenum.
ideally would like to get the m/c tank out of the way too, but this may prove too much hassle. the plenum only has 1.5cm or so clearance of this tank so if i were to mount the plenum to the engine it would run pretty close when the engine moves. reckon it should be ok though
