Good morning .
I have a 2 door which has the dreaded rot forming around the sunroof area (the roof it's self not the panel) which will be a pain to repair so I'm considering removing the rot by replacing the existing sunroof and the area surrounding it by installing a full length fabric tudor webasto sunroof .
http://www.tudorwebastosunroofs.com/

this company supplies and fits as shown in the images in the link . I've had cars in the past 1600Es and the like and I've fitted a few myself but I'd like to know the implications of cutting out a larger orifice than the existing one

Just had a price off them of £750
Cheers

Interesting solution to an ever more common problem!
I, too, have had cars in the past fitted with this company's products, but thought the market for this kind of thing had long disappeared, and that this range of products would have been discontinued some time ago.
I wouldn't have any concerns about the removed sheet metal - this is a long established and reputable company who should know what they're doing, and I wouldn't be surprised if the finished article resulted in a roof stronger than the original.
If you do go ahead, pics. on here, and appearance at a few shows is mandatory.

I've always liked the look of the webasto sunroof and I reckon an E30 could pull it off. Decent price too.

Mines dolphin grey with shadow line so I'd be going for a black cover rather than colour coded.
(thats even if that was an option ) The price quoted is for the roof only and not fitted .
