Ok it all started last year when I bought my 93 316
It was running like crap
I changed :
Hoses
Dizzy
Rotor
Crank sensor
Plugs
Leads
Currently installing second hand FPR and genuine crank sensor
Anyway!!!!!

My car was mis firing randomly so I was trying to find the cause hence all the parts above
So in a final attempt I bought a second hand FPR as I think mine was bad or on the way out at least
I stripped the whole inlet down to put new gaskets in etc and I noticed I had a slightly melted end on one of my injectors

What has caused this ?
And how do i prevent it doing it again when I fit my rebuilt intake??

Thanks, Andy

Probably caused by overheating, perhaps because of over-advanced ignition timing - check that the cambelt is fitted correctly, and not one or two teeth out as is sometimes the case if a trained chimp has been at work...

I did have an inkling that the belt may be out as I have rubbish acceleration also a rev limiter style thong at high revs and the acceleration is also juddery

I know it's an m40 but it can't be this bad

I'll order a new belt, tensioner and water pump
Never done a belt before let alone realigned one so this could be interesting

I may be looking for a new head in a couple of weeks lol

Thanks for the help
Also what do you charge for 4 injectors to be cleaned please?

I don't offer this service, but Injectortune on here does:

I think injector tune are in the region of £ 10-15 per injector. This also included changing filters o rings and pintle caps. Did mine a month ago and it runs as smooth as a baby's bum.
