I am about to install a replacement fuel tank, it needs painted to help it last, does anyone have any advice on what type of paint to use I have already used Zinc rich primer, I was going to use hammerite but realise this may be quite hard and not be ideal in dealing with stone damage and flexing in this application.

Does anyone have any ideas on a paint suitable that may be applied by brush.

Stainless steel tank or galvanised paint.

Only thing I've ever used for the job is black plant enamel, made by Tractol usually, and sold for painting tractors and other agricultural equipment.

Now worries, there's plenty on eBay,

Iirc you can either spray it on or brush/roller it on.

Used it a few times on old landie defenders to good effect.
