ICV Operation question.

Does the ICV retract after being energised? I removed the unit for a clean with carb' cleaner and carried out a check to see if the valve moved. It did but didn't retract when power was switched off. Also the P/No: is 0280140524. BMW Classic parts gives 13411433626. 1990 325i Cab. Thanks for any info/advice.

M20 ICV is effectively two electric motors opposing each other, with no springs involved. When disconnected it stays where it is.
