Can anyone help I have a 320 Cab Auto 1991, it turns over but will not start. I have no spark and the fuel pump isn't making any noise. I have changed the fuel pump relay still no joy. Not sure what to try next :cry: :cry:

First of all, check that there is 12 volts on the + terminal of the ignition coil with the ignition on, and try pulling out the DME relay (white 5 pin one, next to fuel pump relay) with the ignition on. It should click as you remove it and as you replace it.
If the above checks out OK, then the most likely culprit is the crank position sensor, but a few further tests should be made before condemning it.

Hi Brian, checked the car today after work. I have power coming to the coil and DME clicks.
I'm sure you clan guess my next question. How to check Crank position sensor ?

A thorough physical inspection is the first thing to do. Especially check that the lead to it hasn't been savaged by the water pump pulley, where it runs behind it, and examine where the lead actually enters the sensor - don't get too rough here, since the insulation will be brittle, and it's easy to damage a still serviceable sensor.
If nothing is amiss here, disconnect it under the diagnostic socket, and measure the resistance between the two of the three pins closest to the lead. The resistance should be around 540 ohms. Move the lead around a bit while doing this and check the reading is consistent.
If it passes all these tests, unfortunately it still doesn't prove that the sensor is good, and replacement and hope is the next stage.
