Does this tag info mean it's a 3.38 Viskose LSD

Im sure they have a expantion cooling system in the same form as the oil cooler at the front.so if it doesnt have that then it might not mean anything.

The 325iX had a different LSD (Viskose) to a normal LSD type

One is a Viskose (V) diff' and the other is a S type diff'

Just never seen a tag to recognise the Viscose diff'

Does anybody know or should I try e30.de

It sounds a reasonable assumption mate, they seem to be 3.6 or 3.9 from the parts CD, any part numbers?
