Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

1989 M20b25 engine. I've just replaced the injectors.

I had to remove injector wiring harness completely to get them out, unplugged it from the car including the circular plug from below, blue and brown sensor plugs unplugged, fuel rail removed. Fuel hoses disconnected from FPR and fuel rail. Vacuum hose disconnected between FPR and inlet manifold and the vacuum hose between rocker cover and the rubber boot.

Reassembled it all with cleaned injectors. Started fine after fuel filled the rail, then after 5 mins engine started racing to approx 2000 rpm then cut out.

No idea what the problem is. All injectors are working.

I think I may have damaged something during the overhaul.

The hose from the rocker cover to the rubber intake boot is cracked at the rocker end. Also I checked the ICV and the sensor plug at the other end next to the injector loom round plug is not plugged into anything and I can't see anything to plug it into.

Sorry for the long post, thought more information the better. but does anyone have any advice.
Could it be the vacuum hose from rocker cover to the boot, have I accidentally disconnected something to do with the air stabiliser, have I damaged the blue or brown plug leads!

Quick update. All sorted now.

Checked to confirm power is going to the ICV. I re-checked the C191 plug just to make sure it was connected properly do it was nothing to do with temp sensors or injectors. Left it to idle again for 10 minutes until it got up to temperature and the engine was running all ok, idle at 750-800. So I'm hoping it's sorted itself out.

For reference I think it was either sticky ICV, or a gunked up throttle position switch which made the engine think throttle was open when it wasn't, which meant the ICV was switched off and it let air in without fuel, hence the racing to 2000rpm then cut out. Maybe as the car had been sitting for 2 weeks.
