i know many people have created threads on this subject. well like many others mine went out randomly. i would like to try the red and black wire thing but im not sure witch wires they are. is it possible for anyone to give me some sort of picture or something of where they are in the boot? and is there a way test the solenoids? are the solenoids red and white and are connected to the lock( i assumed). and one more thing where are the relays?
If you guys could help me out that would really be awesome. the thing is driving me nuts. the key for my drivers side door doesn't work so i have to go to the otherside lock it from the passenger seat and then lock the passenger door. its a hassle. i would love to get it solved and figured out.

No wonder you're having difficulties finding them if you're looking in the boot. You're at the wrong end of the car!!
I've posted this many times, but here goes again.
Remove the trim panel to the right of the driver's legs and remove the loudspeaker.
Remove a black plastic piece just below the speaker, and you will see the locking ECU ("relay") just below the speaker hole. It's held in place by two self tapping screws just below the outside of the speaker hole, and pulls out complete with its mounting bracket and with the wiring attached.
Where the wiring loom from the drivers door connects to the door pillar is actually a plug and socket, and if at some time, it has been unplugged, and not plugged back together absolutely perfectly, then water will have got in, and the pins atarted to corrode.
Look in through the speaker hole, and find two seperate red/black (not the red/brown) wires going to to seperate pins on the back of this door pillar socket.
Cut them both away from the socket, and carefully join them together, preferably using a soldered joint insulated with heat shrink sleeving.
This will not neccessarily cure all your C/L problems, but is where you should start.
