Hello guys

Just wondering what is the difference between a auto and
Manual engine loom from an m20 motronic 1.3, I know the throttle position sensor plug is different is that all?
I'm wondering if I can use a auto loom on a manual car and swap the throttle position sensor plug that is of course if there isn't any other significant difference in the looms

Looms are identical (including M20B20), apart from the different plug, the extra three wires, and the plug on the other end of the three wires, used on switchable autos only. Manual and non switchable auto looms are identical.
The three wires for the throttle position switch on the switchable auto loom are the same colours as the wires in the manual loom.

Thanks for the reply Brianmoore I was hoping you would see this, so can I use a switchable auto loom on a manual m30b35 going in a e30? And also can I cut and join the tps for the manual plug?

Yes* and yes.

* Isn't there some small mod. to be done in the C101 when used with a M30?

I believe that mod is done when you use a m30 loom I'm not too sure but if so it's only two wires.

Big relief with the auto loom working seems a manual loom for an m20 is upwards of £100 now, not surprising with the way prices are going lately supply and demand I guess.

Of course it is! E30 loom into an E30 has to be correct.
Touch of brain fade.
