Hi everyone,

2 door non electric window car, 1990. I'm doing a front door rebuild after paint and I'm a bit bemused where part 15 fits in the door or if I can discard it? It's a track build so if it's not going to hurt, I'll leave it out:

Many thanks!! :thumb:

I think its bonded to the inside, but if yours is loose it may not be, sits at the bottom of the door in the middle

Cheers Dan :thumb:

It was removed by the body shop when they did the paint - the only blimmin' part I didn't get a picture of!

Looking at the door, I'm guessing it's there just to stop the outer panel flapping about?

*Edit* just had a quick look and it attaches to the outer door panel and braces across to the base of the inside - I've changed the body kit from SE to MTechII so no way to refit it now - I *think* it was fitted to stop the door vibrating when closed, so I'll leave it off - another 250 grams saved!! *thumb*

Slam a BMW door; slam a Ford door. That little bracket is one of the reasons for the difference.

Makes sense Brian... :thumb:

It's a track car with all the sound deadening removed so it's gonna rattle like 2 skeletons shagging in a biscuit tin :D
